Meet the Doctor

Dr. Virgulti has improved over 10,000 smiles as a specialist in orthodontics.

Dr. Virgulti was born the oldest of four children and was raised in nearby Bucks County. After graduating in the top of his high school class, he went on to graduate with honors from Lycoming College with a B.A. in Biology.

Dr. Virgulti then entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he received his dental degree, along with his Certification as a Specialist in Orthodontics. Dr. Virgulti was in private general dental practice for two years before completing his specialty Certification in 1988. While at the University of Pittsburgh, he was the recipient of several awards, including the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) Award, and achieved membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. In addition to Orthodontic training, Dr. Virgulti has had training and experience in the treatment of cleft palate and dento-facial deformity patients, as well as surgical orthodontics. He has been in private specialty practice since 1988, and has successfully treated over 10,000 patients.

Dr. Virgulti has been president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Student Dental Association, as well as a voting delegate to the Pennsylvania Dental Association. In 1986 he received the delegate of the year award for service to his region. He is a member in good standing of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Virgulti is very active in the community and has coached multiple sports and teams over the years. He also supports several local organizations through volunteer work, as well as financially. In 1995, he began The Dr. Virgulti Annual Science Award in several local middle schools to reward and encourage excellence in the sciences.

His interests include tennis, ice hockey, snowboarding, mountain biking, sailing, and good friends.
